Plan Ahead for Opening Day 2026: “Reserve a Ride” Overview

To help make Opening Day smoother and more enjoyable, we introduced the “Reserve a Ride” timed wagon ticket in 2025. This system helped reduce long lines during our busiest hours—especially from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. As we prepare for the 2026 season, here’s what you need to know so you don’t miss out.

What Is the “Reserve a Ride” Ticket?

A “Reserve a Ride” ticket is similar to a theme-park fast pass. Guests select a 30-minute wagon time slot to ride to the tree fields on Opening Day. This helps keep lines shorter and the experience more relaxed.

How It Worked in 2025 (and what to expect for 2026):

  • Opening Day: Friday after Thanksgiving
  • Ticket Price: $5 per person
  • Your Fee Becomes a Credit: The ticket cost was applied toward your tree purchase (example: 2 tickets = $10 credit).
  • Timed Slots: Every 30 minutes throughout the day
  • Tickets Released: Mid-October via our e-newsletter and social media

We expect a similar process for 2026—be sure to sign up for updates so you know the exact release date.

Who Needs a Ticket?

A “Reserve a Ride” ticket is required for anyone planning to cut a tree from the field on Opening Day. We are not allowing walking to the tree field. It creates lines out in the tree field instead of up around restrooms, food options, and areas to sit.

You do NOT need a ticket if you are:

  • Buying a pre-cut tree
  • Visiting the farm to shop the Wreath Barn or Trading Post, explore, or enjoy activities without riding the wagon

Bringing a Dog?

Dogs are welcome at the farm with a leash and good manners, but dogs are not allowed on wagons.

If you bring your dog:

  • Someone in your group must walk with the dog to the field and back (about 1 mile round-trip).
  • Trees must return to checkout on a wagon accompanied by a person—please plan accordingly.

If You Don’t Have a Ticket

Walk-up wagon seats were available in 2025, but wait times—especially in mid-afternoon—were significantly longer. For 2026, we strongly recommend reserving your ride ahead of time.

Other 2025 Options (Likely to Return in 2026)

  • Pre-Cut Tree Weekend (Weekend Before Opening Day): Early access to shop the pre-cut lot by reservation.
  • Tall Tree Requests (11' & Up): Advance form required; orders closed October 30.

These options may return for 2026—updates will be shared in the fall.

Why We Use “Reserve a Ride”

Our farm continues to grow along with our visitors. With expanding acreage and increased demand for wagon rides, timed tickets help create a better, less crowded, more enjoyable experience for all families—especially during peak hours.

We appreciate your support as we make improvements to ensure your visit stays memorable and stress-free.
