Before heading home, we’ll shake your tree to remove loose needles, bale it for easier handling, and help securely load it onto or into your vehicle. Our experienced team will make sure your tree is properly secured for a safe ride home.
Welcoming Your Tree
If you’re not ready to decorate, store your tree outdoors away from wind and sun. Before setting it up, cut ¼ inch off the trunk and immediately place it in a stand that holds at least one gallon of water. Check the water daily and never let it fall below the trunk, and keep your tree away from heat sources and direct sunlight.
Decorating Your Tree
Check all electric light and connections before decorating your tree and discard lights with worn or frayed cords. Be sure to turn off all decorations before you go to bed at night and any time you leave home. And never use lighted candles on your tree.
How to Care for Your Farm-Grown Fresh Christmas Tree
Keep your Christmas tree fresh all season with proper care:
• Make a fresh ½ inch cut from the base before placing it in the stand.
• Put your tree in water as soon as possible and check the water level daily.
• Use a stand that holds about 1 quart of water per inch of trunk diameter.
• Keep your tree away from fireplaces, heaters, vents, and direct sunlight.
• Use low heat lights and always turn them off when leaving home or going to bed.
• Remove the tree once it becomes dry, and recycle it after Christmas.
